He was certainly a surprise in Tropic Thunder. But you can't really argue it was a good film, can you? I'm not denying that I enjoyed it - but it was in no way a good film.

I think my problem with The Cruise is that I can't help feel all the films he was in would have been improved if someone else played him.

Agreed on Minority Report, a very good film. Also Collateral was pretty good.
