New Year's Eve 1999 is almost ten years ago! Where were you when Big Brother first hit our screens? When did you first see the iPod? How did you feel when you first logged on to Facebook?

What a decade! Why not celebrate it at Tom Sofa's Noughties Quiz?!

For one night only, the legendary quizmaster and historian Tom Sofa looks back at the decade which brought us the Millennium Dome, the rise of Simon Cowell, and the Global Financial Meltdown. But it has not all been fun and games, and when we think of the human suffering on a massive scale this decade has seen one name we all try to forget comes inescapably to our minds - James Blunt.

Get your team of experts together or get your mobile devices charged because Tom Sofa's Noughties Quiz starts at 8pm prompt, Friday 27th November 2009 at the Telegraph Inn, Wolverhampton Road, Stafford. Maximum 5 in a team. Only £2 per head! Win a gallon of beer or one of many other prizes! Get their early to secure the best tables!

With very live music from very special guests the Noughties Quiz of Tom Sofa has it all! You'll laugh! You'll cry! You'll ask for your money back! Don't miss this fabulous one-off event!

The small print: The Legendary Tom Sofa's Quiz of the Noughties is a fund raising event for Stafford and Stone Green Party. The value of a gallon of beer can go down as well as up. If symptoms persist try sneaking out the back and phoning a friend.

I trawled for 'gay Elvis' images but became traumatised by the Toronto Gay Pride March ones - never in Stafford surely. No way am I linking them here!.....

i might be able to make this after all :D

gay elvis has been cancelled, so as long as my old dears' anniversary celebrations don't go on too long, i should be able to pop along.. what time does one need to be seated by?

You can be seated or standing or strike whatever pose your mood takes you, but the quiz* starts at 8pm!

*that's "kwezz" for anyone who speaks Stokey.

That is a very good question and I am glad you asked me that. I don't know. There are 50 (that's "feffty" for Stokey-speakers) questions, plus some live music - yes, I can now confirm that Martin Stanyer will be perfoming his superb charity single Christmas hit "Pull My Cracker", and very special guest guitarist Gee will be providing intrumental back-up to my crooning on a song or two.

I expect we will be there a while Slainte!
