hey guys and gals...off to Newcastle (the one oop North!) on Saturday but all the trains seem to have around 3.72 billion changes...whats the easiest way to get there sat afternoon and leave in the late afternoon Sunday?

Drivings out as the PT is 2.4L and therefore I would be better off just giving my hard earned cash to a jobless person (Hi Lunar!)

someone told me go through Derby and someone else said go Brum first...anyone with experience of this?

When I went to Newcastle a couple of years ago, I only had to change in Manchester.

cheers guys...managed to get just 1 change at Manc and a toroughly great weekend it was too...helped hugely cause I finally worked out how to stick films on my Pixon (so easy...I'm so dumb!)
