Well, I've just been dragged into Verso, for logistical reasons.

I had the "Lounge Eggs, with mushrooms" and a cappuccino. OK, but everything could have been warmer.

The 'mood music', on the other hand was rather excessive - it seemed a little odd to have to shout at people sitting on the same table in a place that was only about a third full.

The Door! The door is bizarre, I know people that would be unable to get out of there on their own.

If I hadn't seen people inside and been warned about the door, I would have assumed it was closed.

@Lunar Scorpion was also in there and assured me that it rates highly for veganity.

The door is a shocker, i still can't believe nobody that works there hasn't had a word with head office about getting it sorted and if head office do know about the problem i can't believe nobody at head office has arranged it to be fixed and if head office have arranged for it to be fixed, i can't believe... well ...you get my point.
I'll send an email.

My last meal there was disappointing, the bap had been left under the heat lamp for far too long. I had to ask one person behind the bar if they were actually serving whilst there was a queue whilst aimlessly/lazily/very very slowly putting cups and saucers away.

It's the small town shuffle

University towns don't have this

The door was installed by the same people who fitted out the whole development around Scaffold Place. I'm surprised it hasn't fallen off.

Hi,
Thanks for getting in touch regarding your recent visit to Verso Lounge. Sorry about the door, as I’m sure you’ve noticed as a regular – it’s a permanent bone of contention! Please rest assured, we are doing our best to get it resolved and have been doing since we opened. It’s actually a fairly severe problem, and without getting into too much detail is to do with air pressure. We have already taken some steps to try and resolve it, but so far haven’t been able to. We are currently looking at making the door automated, but are waiting on confirmation from the company that an automated system will be able to deal with the pressure difference without breaking.
Sorry to bore you with the details when you are having to put up with it but rest assured it is on our radar and very much working on it.
Thanks again for getting in touch.

Air pressure on a revolving door'd be funny.
Once you're in you're spat back out and once you're out you're spat back in, and so on.

We had a similar issue at work for a while. I am not sure how they fixed it but there was talk of a revolving door as an option.
