Wasp Nests.

I have 3 wasps nest in my attic, I purchased some spray from Screwfix that you can spray from 20 feet, I looked at where the largest nest was and realised that if I cleared some items out of the way I could stand on the loft ladder and get away quickly and close the hatch. This is what it said on the instructions as they may attack. I took aim and straight away hit it right in the middle, the nest fell off the part of the roof where it was, I rushed down the ladder shouting nest down nest down (this bit is not true) closed the hatch. My question is we’re there any wasps in the nest as it seemed to fall quite easily to the floor?

Do what I did. Loads of layers of clothing, gloves and wellies. Duct tape to close any gaps. Cap on head and a pair of tights over the cap. Then more duct tape so no gaps between tights and neck. Makeshift bee keepers outfit. Got some funny looks from the neighbours though

there won't be any wasps in a nest at this time of year. just queens hibernating somewhere.
