Waterworld in Festival Park - avoid like the plague

Just thought I would make people aware, so they didn't have them same wasted trip like we did.

Visited Waterworld last weekend. It wasn't overly busy but now can understand why.

The changing rooms are disgusting and filthy with caked in debris (hair/plasters etc) in the drains. This wasn't a short term thing - this is a build up over months. Many of the lockers didn't work, or had no locks at all etc. (Which you have to pay a non refundable £1.50 for a token)

The biggest shock was the pool, which can only be described as a disgusting green colour. The floors of the pool were filthy and there was algae on the walls and floor within certain parts of the pool.

The bubble pools (when it did work) was almost non existent. The rapid pool, that is supposed to spin you around had no go in it and would have struggled to carry a paper boat round, let alone an adult.

The attendants all had the look of despair and there was no safety precautions by the entrances to the flumes. Kids were pushing in front of others. The attendant controlled light signal was ignored with kids piling down the slides whilst the attendant stared at the floor. I let my son have one go and he came out the other side with a scratch on his back (from the tunnel) The whole thing was an accident waiting to happen.

I complained to staff as there was actually faeces in the pool and they were not fussed. At which point we left (after being in there for 40 minutes). I complained to the counter staff, who have obviously heard the complaints many times, and we were quickly given a full refund. (Probably to get us out of there)

I have since complained to Managers and they will not answer questions but just keep saying their chemicals kill bacteria in 0.02 seconds. Utter rubbish, if a floating turd got swallowed by anyone it will quite possibly make them sick, let alone the other floating debris in the pool.

I have since been on Trip Advisor and there are similar stories (with the added good reviews possibly left by their staff) lol

I put a review on their Facebook page (which had quite a few similar reviews) and management pulled their review section on FB.

Anyway, save your money - don't go.

I haven't been in a swimming pool since late 1967 - and that was in a canoe.

I almost fell in one last year, though - on two separate occasions.

Awww this is gutting to hear ,last time I went was about 15years ago and I had a great time . Was planning on taking the kids very soon , don't think I will bother now . Just reading your post has put me in major cleaning mode. I'd not doubt need therapy if I had experienced your visit to waterworld.
