What are we watching on TV?

Still re-watching Friends (Phoebe has unexpectedly emerged as my favourite character), also re-watching Killing Eve's first two seasons as I haven't watched 3 or 4 yet, got soooo many shows on Netflix I want to start but it's all getting a bit "not enough time in the day" again.

I've been doing the same with Killing Eve. Jodie Comer is just stunning, that lady can act with just her facial expressions alone ....

I keep finding myself putting off watching Peaky Blinders each week, not the most uplifting viewing at the minute is it?

Not that I'm complaining about that, I just find I have to steel myself to watch it.

I have Boys From The Blackstuff here, I keep putting off watching it, as good as it is, for much the same reason.

I will always remember the wave of national regret at laughing at the "I'm desperate, Father!" - "Call me Dan" - "I'm desperate, Dan" line.

The Ipcress File. Very disappointing. Bears very little resemblance to the book, and the central character is all wrong.

Boiling point on Netflix, amazing one shot filmography (@BobClay , only ever one shot I've seen since Fargo) ..... But I'm halfway thorough & still waiting for something to happen....

I'm not sure that was worth the watch..... Unless you've worked in a restaurant/cafe/bar/pub then this will mean nothing to you...... If you have... Its just another day at work... Brilliant filmography, but not such an interesting storyline for those not in the know.

Watched The Distant Barking of Dogs the other day, which was very slow, but almost unbearably moving.

Ukrainian kid living on the front line in the East with his grandmother (mother died), left in a small village where most have already escaped - filmed between '16 and '17. War is a human tragedy played out over lots of small scales. If you have ever been a boy of 10, or have raised one of your own, this might hurt you.

Also just watched Winter on Fire: Ukraine's Fight for Freedom - also on Netflix - which was an interesting 'primer' to where we are now (could have ditched the *heartstrings* music).

I was about to start watching Archive 81 when I read that it was cancelled and ends on a big cliff hanger.

I know it's quite popular, is it worth watching anyway?

This prompted me to finally watch Russian Ark - apparently, shot in one go, from beginning to end, all 96 minutes of it.

It's very well done and the whole organisational/production thing is clearly marvellous, but I have little idea what it was about.

Enjoying a drop of red.
Having previously thought, for the past 40 years that A Question Of Sport was unwatchable, I discovered just now that three large home measures of single malt drunk in quick succession, still don't make it watchable.
