What are we watching on TV?

I was talking to someone about this microseries the other day and ended up rewatching the six seven minute episodes.

Set during a zombie invasion of Dublin after the 2008 financial crisis.

A gruesome parody of several genres.

WOW Dr Who nice guy Matt Smith slicing off a head in House of the Dragon !! Do the special effects teams ever enjoy realistic blood and gore !!!

I get the impression Matt Smith is really enjoying playing this part.... he gets that huge sword in his hand he goes off like a combine harvester ...

Due to an on going bout of feeling sorry for myself/ bit of personal heartbreak/depression, i've been watching a lot off the ITV Hub lately. I've just sat here and watched the 3 series of Cracker. I adore Robbie Coltrane and for me, this is one of the best things he has ever acted in. I wish there were more of it available on there.

Just back from seeing 'Halloween Ends'. My eyes are struggling to believe what they just saw, to be honest. What a ballsy film to make as the final entry in this series! Possibly the best of the three, I think? Or at least the most interesting.

But my God going to a packed cinema where everyone else appears to think they're there to eat a 3 course meal and catch up doesn't half bring into focus how close YOU are to committing mass murder.

Started watching The Sandman the other night after listening to an interview with Neil Gaiman. I was worried it might be a bit too "fantasy" for me as I have very low tolerance for wizards and spells etc but enjoying it so far.

Have also finished Star Trek The Original Series (thoroughly enjoyed) and am now onto The Next Generation!

Ah no the picture actually is stretched slightly for everyone! It is to make it all feel surreal apparently, but it's subtle enough that not everyone noticed (Netflix released a statement saying it is deliberate).

Has anyone seen James Acaster's 'Cold Lasagne Hate Myself 1999' show? It's only available on Vimeo but it is SO good, easily in my top 5 favourite stand-up shows of all time, an absolute masterpiece. Watched it again last night.
