What are we watching on TV?

Just watched Line of Duty after trying to avoid spoilers all day.

I know that we’re only two episodes in but I’m not finding it as enjoyable as previous series. Obviously going to stick with it and I’m presuming that it will get better.

I’m really enjoying the absolutely brilliant “Unforgotten”, much more than Line of Duty.
It’s just been really thrilling, watchable, well written and brilliantly acted TV. Final episode tonight.

Have watched and (mostly) enjoyed 4 seasons of American Horror Story but have just given up two episodes into the 'Hotel' season which I found borderline unwatchable.

Though if you're a fan of watching Lady Gaga have countless boring sex scenes in which everyone is naked but she's in her pants, you're in for a treat!

I'm enjoying Line of duty (he finally said 'bent coppers) but I'm a little lost with Unforgotten, which I usually love. Unforgotten has been shunted to another day in favour of Masterchef tonight.

@SketchyMagpie, I've watched a few series of American horror story & loved them, although they're also on the back burner untill the carer (husband) goes back to work as he hates them!

I've enjoyed the rest of them! I just found that series started off particularly bad so I gave up and went to another one, which I'm now enjoying. I might give it another go when I've finished the rest but I'll be surprised if I like it any better on the second go.

The Walking Dead was really good this week. I never stopped watching, I've gotten back on board with the show over the last 2 years or so.

I’ve started watching the walking dead on prime. Not sure if I’ll carry on with it though, it’s a little bit gruesome.

Traditionally in our house Saturday night has always been light entertainment night, or as some other people might call it, “rubbish.”

We enjoy something frivolous where we don’t have to concentrate on a complicated plot.

Last night was fabulous. Thoroughly enjoyed the new programme called “I can see your voice”, didn’t think I was going to like it but I got hooked straight away.
Then we watched the Vernon Kay show, forget what that was called followed by Bullseye.

I've watched 'The Walking Dead' since the first series. Truth is I always thought the zombie thing was a bit daft (with the exception of Shaun of the Dead.) But this show is more about the people who are dealing with the aftermath of an apocalyptic event. Quite often other 'normal' people prove to be much more dangerous than the zombies as society completely breaks down. In that it resembles 'The Day of the Triffids.'

Ha, I grew up loving George A. Romero's "... of the dead" movies so I've always liked zombie stuff though it is undoubtedly an over-saturated trope now. And that's just 'The Walking Dead' with its four or five spin-offs and more to come.

Jesus Christ, I was counting video games and the three Rick Grimes movies when referring to TWD having loads of spin-offs, but I've just seen there are SEVEN different television shows in the works!

The main show, Fear The Walking Dead, The World Beyond, Tales of The Walking Dead, Daryl and Carol spin-off, villains spin-off and a comedy spin-off.

Watching The Sky at Night on BEEB4 tonight I got to thinking when I first saw it. I was 11 years old. It always used to be on late at night back then, there was only one BBC channel and one ITV channel. But my folks knew I was interested in astronomy so they always let me stay up to watch it. (No repeats, no video recorders etc etc.) I wrote to Patrick Moore once asking about Barnard's Star. I got a really detailed reply all carefully typed out (apparently he used the same old typewriter all his life) and full of information. I was still at school when I wrote the letter, and my handwriting bears a strong resemblance to a drunken spider that's just walked through an ink puddle.
I had a lot of time for Mr Moore after that.
