I'm surprised that it took "around 30 firefighters from Penkridge, Stafford, Cannock, Stone and Rugeley [fire] stations" over three hours, from 7.06pm to 10.24pm, to extinguish a fire "which was confirmed as being in one room".
Let's hope that the asylum seekers found some other shelter after what appears to be an arson attack.

I wonder if that article will be updated to include the name of the arsonist. Who was a resident of the hotel and has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life.

Someone has posted some photos on Facebook, assuming it is the hotel. They have made a right mess of the interior.
