Such a cute little block!

Thank you - many many hours spend prepping -

Engine was moved into the kitchen and I hand cleaned with tooth brushes and ear buds.

Yes, Yes I am crazy...

Really means a lot when people say it looks good -

Not to everyone's taste obviously but suits the car I promise!

Stuff that. It's your car, as long as you are happy with it that is all that matters.

Besides, it contrasts nicely with the body colour.

Thank you -

Didn't want everyone to think I was chaving it up!

She's a Mini Neon - which originally has pink stripes down the side so all ties in!

I used to get through a can of oil a month with my little black 1963 mini
Really...?

It does look good! The whole car looks extremely tidy in fact. I bet you can't wait for it to be done?

It's really nice to have her at home - subframes and engine done - so all down hill from here really!

Going to have a 'Mini Party' when she's finished - come as anything mini - mini cheddars, mini rolls, mini mouse etc etc!

I used to get through a pair of cheapo remould front tyres a month on mine. Think they were about £4.00 each at the time.
Yeah, I was constantly buying cheapo remoulds as well. Also reconditioned batteries. Don't know whether my petrol tank was the normal one or a smaller one had been put in, but even when filled up it wouldn't make it to West Brom and back. Had to stop off and fill up again at Hilton Park each trip to get me home.(When I first got it , it had been modified so the horn peeped everytime it went around a corner....soon got rid of that feature!)

How long have you been working on it? Have you had the shell dipped? It looks like its just rolled off the production line.

She was written off by Chavy McWankBalls in August 2013 -
Fast forward to May 2014 and the garage she was sent to basically got so far and stopped doing any work and let her rot outside...
So we picked up a trailer and rescued her (don't ask it was such a saga..)

Spend all last summer fully breaking her down, every panel has been replaced (apart from the roof - yeah no joke!)
We did all the welding apart from the front end which was done by a mini restoration company -
Sprayed at xmas - and we've spent the last few months rebuilding front and rear subframes, painting engine etc - fitting.

And finally now home for the home run hopefully!

No she was sprayed! Had the rear subframe galvanised tho lol!
