Sausage meat. What can I do with it? Apart from meatballs or a sausage plait? Not fancying pasta & meatballs really. Anyone think of anything *else I could do with it?

*Apart from slinging it in the bin

So, a bit of a hotchpotch as I'm using up the contents of the freezer......payday is still a week away for me & it's been a long month.

Jamie's Sausage Roll

Greek potatoes

And there's some frozen spiced cauliflower in the freezer, im smothering that with cheese sauce, and maybe some green beans on the side...

So you know when you're not really looking forward to tea, cos its things you need to use up rather than the chinese takeaway you really wanted?

Well to tonight was the exception.....Jamie's Sausage roll was lovely, but I deviated as I didn't think it would be enough for 3 of us....so I added a small packet of stuffing mix, and 2 huge spoons of English mustard. Covered in ready made puff pastry, wich I had to turn upside down as I'd made such a mess off wrapping it. Turns out there's enough for lunch tomorrow.

The Greek potatoe recipe, is 'the best' other recipes I've used don't include stock, and the stock really makes a difference.

Cauliflower cheese wasn't cheesy enough.....but 10/10 for the potatoes and sausage roll

Basa Fish cooked with lemon juice & pepper , mash , veg & parsley or cheese sauce tonight. Followed by greek yoghurt drizzled with honey .

Last nights was Pasta & carbonara sauce eaten with my eyes closed... Don't usually do pasta bakes , but hubby in a moment of madness had bought a pack of weird various massive black/green/red/yellow/orange/ white coloured and strange shaped pasta from Homesense before xmas.
Couldn't bring myself to put the red ones , looking like false teeth (that's how big they were , exactly like gums bubbling away ) on my plate so fished them out to pile on hubbys plate. Tasted good as long as I didn't look at it 😂

Weston road chippy tonight. I had a chips and a massive bit of fish, just as well at £7 each! He had the sausage special with an extra battered sausage for good measure.
We were meant have pork steaks, Sainsburys ready roasties, yorkie puds and gravy, but I had the fancies for a bag of chips at 05.30am this morning. So we had chippy.

Did something new tonight … tofu with a scallion sauce.
Plus some duck with pancakes, noodles with vegetable, breaded prawns and salt & pepper squid.

Apart from the tofu, I have food envy. Did you eat out or homemade? Either way it looks delicious......roll on my payday Friday! (Next Friday! Hooray)
