Pork casserole thingy topped with sliced potatoes, roasted carrots, Savoy cabbage.

* (the carer & minime are having horrible aunt Bessie's roast potatoes too, cos they're weird).

Had a Bird in Hand carvery this afternoon. Beef,Gammon, Roast tatas, New tatas with the skins on, carrots, stuffing, large yorkie pud, smothered in a lovely gravy, with apple and mint sauce as an accompaniment. Daughter in law had the same, just not as much as Jimmy 5 Bellies me.
Eldest had a Burger with Bacon and Cheese and tight git didn't even offer me a chip.

I think we'll have to try that one day, sounds good.


The carer made homemade meatloaf, buttery mash, roasted carrots & a leek & tomato sauce......

I'm not sure about the pudding he's made.... I suspect at least one strawberry contains cyanide.....

It's gorgeous. Just looked at the online menu, and they do youngests Mixed Grill. He says no thanks.No idea why.

I nearly did, but too much gardening meant a later curry in the Morris Man.

A simply cook recipe, although I can't find it right now....

Spiced cauliflower steaks, spiced wedges, spiced yoghurt, tomato & cucumber salad...

Delicious, the carer made way to much as he cooked onion bhajis to go alongside, so tomorrow for lunch I have onion bhajis & cucumber & tomato salad....

Approved whole heartedly!
Have just been Sainsbugs, they have the large jars of garlic puree back in. I'm well chuffed.

Myself tonight, have just had a Ginsters Cornish Pasty, followed by a bag of Sainsbugs Wine Gums.
He's been out with his Dad, so yet another lonely meal for one.
