Let's see what you believe passes as a meal then.LOL
Just go back and study the pictures of that swill on a plate !, and you applaud that mess ?
Ok carry on eating that mess that you all find so appealing (I see KFC gets a thumbs up as well) and statins are easily available via your GP to help.
But where's the roast potatoes ?@Lucy Considering it isn't the first time this Raven person has had cause to comment on how rubbish he/she/it thinks the posts on this topic are, I personally get the feeling you may not get an answer to your question.
@littleme Both meals look spot on, to a fat porker like myself.
So spot on in fact, I might see if I can find a Carvery for tomorrows dinner.
Yes Glam, I like the carvery there.Went the Knot & Plough. Had me carvery. View attachment 15931

At risk of being accused of hijacking the thread, which one?Cambridgeshire pub
The Queens Head at Newton - one of thirteen pubs I used in Ely (2), Cambridge (8), Newton, Harlton and Milton. At risk of being accused of hijacking the thread, which one?
Do they still do soup in a basket? The Queens Head at Newton
They do "Brown Soup" though I didn't see what it is served in.Do they still do soup in a basket?
Sounds nice. I did myself fish n chips, all courtesy of Mr Sainsburys freezer section. I believe the fish was Pollock, saving the Cod stocks. And the chips were McCain skin on oven chips, had both in the freezer for a while, so thought I'd treat myself. His nibs had Mac n Cheese. He int a lover of chips really. Unless they're from the chippy and covered in cheese.Officially I'm still on annual leave/holiday (even though I've worked 2 overtime shifts in the last few days) ...so last naughty meal...
Mixed meat & chips from Queens chippy.
They used to serve a large mug of soup and bread rolls in a deep bread basket - hence "soup in a basket". Very popular back in the day. They do "Brown Soup"

It's still a deservedly popular pub. They used to serve a large mug of soup and bread rolls in a deep bread basket - hence "soup in a basket". Very popular back in the day.
