What's for dinner/tea?

A chap I knew was a bit bonkers and would occasionally get into huge arguments in social settings.

One of those occurred in Catch Corner when I was not there.

He told me about it and told me that his parting shot with the chap that he was having the argument with was "I'll have you put in an armchair!"

It took me a few seconds to realise that he meant 'wheelchair', but I wonder if he really said 'armchair' and that was what caused to confusion that defused the situation?

don't mention the blinds
A chap I knew (decades ago) was always creating perilous situations in pubs. It was a regular thing, such as
'That twat's gonna be sorry'
'It's all gonna kick off soon'
'If it happens, don't get involved '
' Just want a quiet drink, not looking trouble '
Nothing perilous ever occurred.....

Well we had the Turkey at 06.30am, he's asked can we have the same tomorrow morning too.
It's nowt elaborate, just a Turkey breast roast from Farmfoods. Tastes so much better than the Turkey crown I got a few weeks ago, loads more flavour.

6 course posh Turkey Roast 'Christmas Dinner' as its Christmas day in this hotel.

Very tasty , but my own ' proper' Christmas dinner will be ten times bigger and more with lashings of thick Bisto gravy , rather than a smear of 'jus' and hardly any ( hard, hubby had mine) veg .

Followed by 3 different cheeses & biscuits, mango chutney, celery & grapes platter which went nicely with my Hunts cider.
