I was treated to tea out tonight, some treat. I drove to the Dog & Partridge at Upper Tean, he hasn't got his license yet.
Kept to the speed limit all the way, only because I had some twat in a Porsche so far up my arse he saw my breakfast before me. Must have pee'd him off no end, you could tell he wanted pass, but couldn't.
Great Unwashed had the Hunters Mixed Grill while I had Steak & Ale pie with mashed potatoes.
I know I'm the worst cook in the world - my kids knew tea was done when the smoke alarm went off. But my very own home made steak pie was much nicer. And my portions are way bigger too.

Tonights delightful concoction will be Spaghetti Bolognese. Haven't had it in a while/at least a week. Mr Sainsburys onion and garlic sauce, along with a more than generous dollop of garlic puree. Little bit* of cheese for garnish.

*For little bit, read large handfull due to the youngest being unable to stop himself when it comes to adding cheese to anything.

No dinner last night, we mistakenly thought that an hour and a half would have been plenty of time for one course and a glass of wine in La Casa. At 18:40 with no sign if any food we decided to leave. We arrived at 17:20 having pre booked for 17:30. Apart from us there was a table of eight and two other couples. Lord knows how they cope when it's busy.

Another late tea for us as the carer working late & we decided we didn't want what we were supposed to have.

So, a quick trip to Tesco in the thunderstorm, we bought a chicken korma & sweet potato tray bake and some tarka dhall...the tray bake was delicious, but very very filling.....it wasn't untill after I'd eaten the huge portion, that I realised it was supposed to feed 4 not 2!

Stuffed now with no room for a Cornetto 😕

Cucumber & celery are two of my favourite things, you can keep your lettuce if it's iceberg, I hate it..give me leaves....just not iceberg
