What's for dinner/tea?

Fish again! Back to Morrisons and they not only had a few of the fish boxes for a fiver, they had some with that days date on for a quid! Ended up with 2 more boxes, each had very similar to before but only 6 sardines. First time I've ever gutted and cleaned a fish, we now have 7 sole/plaice (whats the difference?), 2 mackeral and 4 herring in the freezer. Yesterdays sardines and herring went through the mincer for fish cakes, made with a little fresh chilli and an improvised coating of ground stuffing mix.

Youngest & I fancied a chippy tea tonight. Windmill was closed, so I drove all the way back up to Top Shops, Tikka meat and cheesey chips for him and sausage and chips for me. Best of all - 10% off for NHS workers if you flash your badge. Didn't mind if I did!

Xacuti Curry for tea tonight, I've not heard of this one before (I'm on a bit of a mission to try new things while MrLittleme is furloughed & doing all the cooking) it's a Goan curry, and from the tiny taste he's allowed me so far it's a bit like a hot Katsu curry...

Cant wait....

Not the most flattering picture, but, Xacuti curry, Pallau rice (both homemade) and a veg samosa (shop bought). Scrummy.

Inspired by @littleme, I had a chicken tikka pathia from the curry house tonight. I'm not sure I've had one before, but will definitely be having one again.

Love Pathia, but premade sauce is impossible to buy.

On a mission now to try lots of curry's that aren't on the 'usual suspects list', may furlough never end.......

Despite buying lovely healthy salad for tea, after an afternoon enjoying the sunshine in the garden, neither me (my day off, my day to do tea) nor MrLittleme could muster up the effort to put it together, so we ordered Papa John's!

It happens.
We haven’t ordered a takeaway in 9 weeks, we’re just not comfortable at the moment with strangers cooking our food.

So we’ve also tried to be healthy on lockdown, but sometimes you’ve just got to enjoy your favourite thing.

So Sunday brunch we had Staffordshire oatcakes with cheese and sausages in the filling. Tinned tomatoes on the side.

It’s my favourite food ever. I think sausages are probably the reason that I would struggle to be vegetarian.

We had turkey, mash potatoes and gravy. Neither of us really like veggies, so we don't bother.
The turkey was cooked and frozen Christmas time. Very cheap meal.
We had so much, I shared it into 3 portions, mine, youngests and the 2 cats.
Cats are looking like they're going drop a litter of kittens each now, despite 1 being a boy and them both having being ''Done'' years ago.
Tomorrow nights tea is home made steak pie, roast potatoes and a yorkie pud or two.
