Bbq pulled pork baps & apple sauce, with garlic aoli & rosemary lattice fries. (they don't taste any different to the plain vegan lattice fries)

Yes, thick dark, sweet, sour & hot. It used to contain very hot green chilli's and we would play pepper or chilli roulette, but they seem to have stopped putting them in...... Although today I found out from the owners sister in law that I can request them to be added back in on my order! Wooohoo happy days!

That's how like it, thick and dark. Last Peking sauce I had in Stafford recently was thin and watery with too much chilli.

Fairly standard for a lot of places that have a weekend spurt.

Has anyone heard of this, I think it's a weird Stoke thing, but the carer insists it's normal......

The carer came home tonight with some Cherry Mederia cake, asked if I wanted any (which I did).... Then proceeded to bring it to me BUTTERED! Yes, buttered! Sliced butter on cherry maderia????!!!!! Now I've heard of buttered malt loaf, buttered tea loaf, and (I think it's Scottish) buttered Christmas cake... But buttered maderia???

*it was delicious, BTW (I think he's dragging me over to the stokie dark side) .

Buttered plain madeira, yes - less keen on the cherry-containing variety, though.

Enjoying a drop of red.

Gurly getting married tomorrow so she's staying here tonight, also got her bridesman staying with us so prosecco followed by a carpet picnic.
Baked Camenbert, tiger sticks, various cheeses, cured meats, stuffed baby peppers, stuffed vine leaves etc etc. A little too much red I think.
