What's for dinner/tea?

This is exactly how I feel. I do have a nose at what everyone else is having on here, think to myself, ''oooh that sounds lovely'', then think sod it, I don't have the time, patience or know how stand there doing it.
I worked in the kitchen at St.Georges for 8 years, best thing I learnt was how to make a Lemon Drizzle cake. Haven't done one of those for months because I just can't be arsed these days.
I do love a Jacket spud tho, girl at work wraps hers in foil and bungs them in the slow cooker, says they come out perfect. I get the McCain bags of jackers from Sainsburys, just over 5 mins in the microwave. Bob's your Uncle, Fanny's your Aunt. Simple.
I just wrap my spuds in foil and bung in oven as well.

Missed out on lunch in the local pub today as I wasn't expecting to be invited to stay for a meal with the walking group I've just joined. Hadn't taken much money with me , so declined on this occassion. Apparently every first tuesday of the month they dine out after the walk.

So just my jacket spuds & mince tonight.

Tonights burnt offering is the chicken korma we were meant to have last night. The chicken wasn't properly thawed when I got it out of the fridge yesterday afternoon. So boiled rice with mine and egg fried for him. Tomorrow is Spaghetti Bolognese, with oodles of garlic, unless he decides he's offski the pub with his mates. Then it'll be Lemon curd on toast for me.

Greggs steak bake and baked beans . And still hungry I've got a cheese & onion crisps brioche bun.

(Was supposed to be home made chicken korma & rice . But hubby , who always says he doesn't like greggs but never had one, decided to pop into the Greggs next door to his barbers after his hair cut and came back with 2 of my favourite steak bakes....he had to admit he enjoyed it!)

We had cheese & bean bakes & chips. The bakes had about 3 beans in each and zero cheese.

I feel a sharing bag of pickled onion monster munch may be needed soon.....

I've just spent the last hour trying to remember what we had for tea. Must be old age creeping up on me.
I did spaghetti bolognese, made with full price minced beef from Mr Sainsburys! A jar of garlic and onion sauce, from Mr S, again. Complere with ¼ jar of garlic puree, oodles of grated cheddar cheese and a mix of different pasta shapes, again courtesy of Mr S.
So glad I didn't do the garlic bread, we were stuffed just from what was in our bowls.

Supposed to have been mash, basa fish fish , veg & cheese sauce and already had the spuds on the hob.. Son rang as he was got home from work and hubby invited him to join us for a Dominoes pizza , so shared a couple of Large Pepperoni and Hawain between us instead.

Mash now in the fridge for tomorrows dinner.
