Unfortunately at the moment (pre lockdown) I'm mainly taking a couple of hours off work in a morning to play. The first video call of the day might be a problem.
Just get a suitable little portable back-drop made - and hope it doesn't rain.

Enjoying a drop of red.

It might improve, depending on what and how much you've had to drink.

Mind you, careful you judge it right or you might have more time on your hands for playing golf than you were bargaining for...

I was a member at Stone from 2007-09. As another 9 hole course a lot of people looked down their nose at it but I'll say this, it was rare that anyone played it and took it apart. The 2 sets of tees gave some great variety to the place....

Or take lots of photos of the course and use them as your work backdrop.

Once everyone's used to your video calls being in front of golf backdrops, no one will know you are not at work.

You don't have to be rich. We used to run taster sessions for ladies, if they get resurrected next year shall I let you know?

You have to be rich to buy the sticks and balls and the bag thing and special shoes and clothes, that's hundreds of pounds just for the very basic cheapest kit, thousands for good stuff....??

What absolute bollox... You don't have to be rich at all.
I bought my irons off eBay for £40,
A bag from Katharine house for a fiver
Hybrids online for £30
Putter from a car boot in Devon for a Quid
Shoes from sports direct (footjoy) for £40, but you can get cheaper.

I've regripped clubs myself with stuff bought on eBay for the fraction of paying people.

I'm thinking that if @kyoto49 was a golfer they'd be filed in the "all the gear, no idea" category...

Lots of people get sucked into laying thousands for kit, but whilst it can help it definitely isn't the thing that makes you the player. My current clubs cost me about £300 and I've had them 5 years so far. I know people who have clubs that cost thousands but it does not make them better than me

So true, I went to uni with someone who had custom fitted clubs for his 21st birthday and it didn't make a bit of a difference to his game.

Personally for me if you're going to get fitted for a club then do it for a driver.....

My driver was an ex demo for £50. I did treat myself to a putter and an electric trolley last year but you certainly don't need a lot.

I've still got my Cobra speed driver from 12 years ago... Made a massive difference to getting my handicap down when I was a member and played regularly .....

If you're not left-handed, then the boot sale or the KH charity warehouses will provide more than enough kit.
Left handers accommodated elsewhere...

You missed off membership surely? How much is annual membership at Stafford Castle golf club the website declines to answer. Like I said, you need to be rich!
