Hey
Anyone know whats going on in the field next to Stafford Castle, they have dug up the hedges and seem to be constructing a road. I walk these fields in summer and am praying that they are not going to turn into houses.

Anyone?

Houses I believe ...
Like it could possibly anything else! It shocks me how quick they're appearing everywhere.

I still remember them taking out the fields off Old Rickerscote Road when i was a kid, my regular dog walking spot. Maybe we should all protest when they take up these wonderful green areas by all taking our dogs for a nice heavy shit on the doorstep of their show homes! lol

Yea, it's the access road to get the plant onto the site for the golf course construction. This road was supposed to be put in this time last year, I was getting quite cynical about it all...

But you should still take a dog for a shit on the golf course.
Perhaps you could then try to loft it onto the green using a Number 2 iron.
"shit golf" could become a very interesting sport.. imagine all the factors involved - professionals would start breeding dogs on special diets, specifically design to curl out the most dense and aerodynamic plops possible

Ah, you've put your message in the wrong thread. You wanted the "good ideas" thread.
Gramaisc, there is a theme emerging - shit and golf. That's three now. Interesting...

Golf could actually begin to become interesting. I would even consider watching it ( on the telly ) if I thought there was a decent chance of somebody slicing one into the crowd.

What fun that is for us golfers, having to beware of dog walkers walking just where you are about to hit the ball. Of course if they get hit we're in the wrong...

been a member up at the castle for a bit now, brill news on the expansion.
dont mind peeps walking the old poochies round the course, but it does get a bit annoyning when some scrote does let there dog crap where ever it pleases and doesnt pick it up.

Ah, I hardly ever play in the winter. Was Ladies Captain last year though, so my face was on the wall all year!

Hey
Thanks for replies.
But the golf course is the other side of the castle, it would have to be an awfully long road.

They are doing work on the field opposite the traffic lights on the exit from Western Downs onto the Newport Road.

Is the old golf course being retired and a new one built?

Is the castle going to be slap bang in the middle of the course?

So a lovely walk makes way for the rich middle classes dressed stupidly, whacking a small ball around with twigs, stunning.

Oh well at least its not houses.
