Where are the composers ?

Forum O. G.
I have been vaguely aware of Karl Jenkins as a "currently living classical-style composer", mostly of this sort of thing -

But, until today, I was not aware of his past in Soft Machine - although, not everybody seems to have approved of his work for them at the time.

Some of his stuff was played this morning on an oddly interesting show - it's on on the weekend mornings here and covers generally 'classical' items, presented by a well-travelled chap, who intersperses the tunes with stories about relevant places, mostly European and North and South American cities. The reasons for his travels were his other job, as a football commentator - it does actually make it all a bit more interesting.

A few posts under my belt
I am more like Hans Zimmer fan but its hard to call it classic, but I still want to go at least once on his concert

my 20 month old son seems to reeeeeeeeally enjoy this track from the Mighy Mighty Boss tones and numerous guests

Not going to deter him as he's also rocking out to AC/DC too at the moment....

I still think the great composers are about .... they're writing film sound tracks. James Horner a typical example:
