Where to Live! Between Stoke & Wolverhampton.

Hello,

I have recently been offered a role in Stoke & will be moving from the North East. I am originally from Wolverhampton so would like to split the difference between Stoke & Wolverhampton which seems to be Stafford.

There will be myself & my partner who is pregnant with our first child. So we are after somewhere that is child friendly but also with a bit going for it. We are both late 20s. So we would ideally like somewhere that has some life to it few nice restaurants/coffee shops to have a Saturday stroll to.

If anybody has ever spent much time in Newcastle I am after the Stafford version of Jesmond if that even exists. Haha.

Please let me know your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you're going to commute by road, then both Stafford and Stoke have more than their fair share of traffic issues - that might be worth taking into account, in relation to both home and work locations.

Jesmond is lovely. I'm afraid Stafford can't complete with Jesmond but it is a nice place to raise a family. It has decent schools, a decent variety of restaurants and pubs and coffee shops. It's also easily accessible to Cannock Chase and is served by the M6 Motorway and West Coast Mainline so easy to commute to Stoke or visit Jesmond!

It also boasts the best football team....the mighty Stafford Rangers fc. I may be exaggerating slightly!

Welcome to Stafford.

Yes agree with Mark and if you support Newcastle you will feel well at home in Stafford as the local football plays in the same colours
