For some reason the keys on my keyboard don't do what they should! The computer i use at home is my lodger's, and when i press shift & ' to get the @ symbol, i get a ". I thought this was something to do with the keyboard itself, but having retreived my proper decent keyboard and mouse from work (having resigned yesterday... yippee!) it seems to be a problem with the PC...

Does anybody know how i can change it so the damn thing works properly??

assuming you're in windows xp, go to your Control Panel and choose Regional and Language Options.. something in there is probably set to US - make sure it is all set to UK and you're all gravy..

Tried that but it's already set to UK as default..bloody annoying!
are you sure they're all set to UK? there are some really cryptic settings buried in there..

from the main Regional and Language Options dialogue, choose the Languages tab, click the Details button and make sure the Installed Services are all UK..

beyond that, i'm spent..
