I am looking for advice on my next mobile (not the contract as I am more than happy with the one I have). I only really take pictures, text and phone on mine. I have been told that the latest sony cybershot is good, what do you folks think and what should I avoid?

my friend got a new sony vivaz yesterday. it broke within three hours. good old sony build quality :P

they're great phones for cameras and walkman features, in fact some of them are so good you can forget taking your digicam anywhere again!

on the downside they blow up / fall to bits / stop working really easily.

I'd avoid HTC as the cameras are shite, avoid samsung as the phones are shite and also fall to bits.

Nokias are still rock solid, easy to use and have great cameras.

So, nokia it is!

I hate Nokia so would advise to steer well clear of them - my past experience of SE is the T68i (first ever camera phone via a clip on camera :D ) and the K800i which was an amazing phone with a great camera too.

I would advise giving SE a try as I do think traditionally they are the best cameras.

Alternatively the HTC Desire supposedly has a lot better camera than previous phones but that doesn't necessarily say much.

What phone do you have at the minute Mrs M and why do you want to replace it?

I have a Nokia 6220 and I am due to upgrade. The 6220 has been ok but I'd like a change.

Sorted now. Have a Sony Ericsson w995. I've had it almost a week now ans I love it. The camera is brilliant, the sounds are good, especially with it's little gimmicky speakers. Thanks for your advice folks.
