Lol +1 for that I know what you mean its like that here in sidney avenue iv never known anywhere like it. I look out of my bedroom window at 7am and garunteed atleast one person will be walking down the road with a can of something alcoholic. Where do they get it from at that time in the morning?? I must be so naive!!
They probablyget it from their mates here just around the corner (I'm in Peach) There is always something drunken going on at anytime of the day and night.

Ah yes now peach av I know someone that's moved in round there recently.... definately not a friend. It's people like her and her mates that ruin the area.

She probably moved in opposite me, they are not nice folk and took an instant dislike to us and we've never even spoken to them :/

Lol Withnail i'll sing you some carols if you like although you would soon be more in the halloween spirit afterwards lol.
Yup those are the folks alright practically opposite.
To try to get a bit more festive i bought some batty window stickers from Sainsbury's tonight and discussed various costumes with the eldest. I know it's not xmassy but i'm trying to get through one 'holiday' at a time here :P

A couple of years ago I came to the conclusion that rather than the twelve days of christmas we now have the twelve weeks of christmas with all xmas stuff in shops and adverts on the telly. It seems this period has been extended to about 16 weeks
Don't get me wrong I really love Christmas but I am a traditionlist and like to get bonfire night out of the way before thinking and talking about christmas. That said each to their own and I can understand retailers being desperate to get people spending

Poundland is selling Xmas stuff Omg I was so happy to find Xmas cards, wrapping paper decorations and loads more. Especially when I bought some garland things that you hang from the ceiling cuz last couple of years iv looked everywhere and couldn't find any. And for just a pound!! Wow.

I know what you mean about the nights drawing in, from about this point onwards in my favourite time of the year, even when I was a kid I loved Autumn and crunching my way through fallen leaves everywhere I went, and yes I still go out of my way to do that now!

We've had the fire lit about 5 times so far and I can’t wait until it's every night, then it really does feel like it's almost Christmas

It's always December 1st for me to get the tree but last year I got it on the last weekend of November, and put it (and all the other dec's) up the same day! I love Christmas and everything about it - even more so with a small one who gets more and more excited about it each year. Although once Christmas day is done I like to get my house back and the tree's on the bonfire by the 27th. As for the shopping on the other hand, it sends me daft, I vow every year to get it all done before December but every year I end up in the shops on Christmas Eve climbing over half of the population of Stafford picking up last minute gifts.

Iv almost finished my little Xmas bits so iv only got the big prezzies to buy for immediate family. Iv never had a real Xmas tree cuz my family always had artificial and for the last 6 years that iv been with my partner (now my husband) we have not been able to afford a tree at all but this year I'm determined to get a real tree! I'm so excited about going and picking a tree.
