I used a Mac for the first time this week. From a users point of view (im a developer) I think the machine is awesome. Its easy to use, its called all the frills of vista (and its easier to use) and I specially liked the fact the the macbook has mercury switched in it with enable me to get the computer to do things by just tapping it.

I've got a Mac Mini 1.25Ghz which was donated to me as the previous owner didn't know how to use it. I wouldn't pay the big money for one but I do like it a lot, even though it is very slow at times. I doubled the RAM to 512Mb which made a difference but think I need to max it out at 1Gb. I do love it though as it is so quiet and doesn't look out of place in the living room.

As an extreme user of PC's (Windows flavour), PC's (Linux flavour) and also owner of a MAC. I can confirm in an unbiased way - they are cool and I love 'em.

Having said that I enjoy Windows and Linux too!!
