Looking out the kitchen window I can see the paint has been blown off the top of one of my bird feeders.

That looks like the Clifford Arms.
I think you were drinking a coffee last time i saw you in there.
It is. I think we were having lunch, Mrs Noah was drinking coffee (& driving after lunch), I thought I had a half of something.

Noah,
Checking your NBSS scores for 11th February 2015 would confirm if you really did have a half of something then.
I had a pint of Adnams Broadside which coincidently I had also had earlier that day in the Butlers Bell.
Mrs Mudgie was driving as always and, not partial to alcohol, had a glass of pop. ,
We didn't eat and I think Mrs Mudgie had bought some plants nearby when I developed a thirst.

Out west, the southerly wind has become quite a violent gale, causing me to take some precautions.

Although it is 10℃, the wind removes the heat from any bits that you have exposed very quickly....

Edit - Seems to be over now - two hours of excitement - now down to just a slightly breezy day again.

It's been a proper storm where I am, 200 miles west of you lot - certainly worthy of the title.

There's been the odd incident here, as above, but the string of previous recent storms has thinned out the remaining potential for damage, I suspect.

Apparently, this is only the second season where the alphabetical naming sequence has reached 'I', under the current system

I took some precautions ahead of the arrival and have had no great issues - so far - but, it is gearing up for another go now, and it looks like it will be the strongest action yet..

Flying back to Heathrow early tomorrow morning, should be interesting. Pleased that we left the car at Heathrow and didn’t need to rely on the rail service.
Hope you have a good flight back & not too wobbly landing. Hopefully the winds would have died down a bit by then. :hmm:

Certainly did the right thing having a car there to get back home. Loads of trains services cancelled tonight & in the morning .
