This morning the tiny little chip (that's been) in my (Corsa) windscreen (since I bought it 3yrs ago) has decided to become a long crack (ironically while I was listening to the windscreen repair ad on the radio)....can anyone recommend a cheap/reliable windscreen replacement/repair company please :(

.....no, my insurance won't cover it (3rd party)

I've always used National Windscreens on Astonfields whenever I've had a problem. That's always been through insurance though, so don't know what their prices are like, just that their service is very good.

Just been to National Windscreens for a quote, it can't be repaired, but they'll replace it for £110 ..... is this good/reasonable? I get to have flashy tinted glass for the same price as plain as there's no plain in stock....

Although I have found National Windscreens quick and cheap I have had a few problems over the years -

Had a new screen fitted in the Mini but it leaked (not sealed properly) so had to take it back and re-fitted - this was done with no fuss or questions but a bit of a pain!
The other half had this MK1 Golf screen re-done and the glass has a slight imperfection in the middle of the screen that although may not be noticeable at first is quite annoying!

Saying that I would be likely to go back as they are always friendly and happy to solve any problems you have :)
