Given me a few ideas for any pub quizzes we stumble across on holiday as well. Not being able to think of a good team name in the past have usually used 'The Staffordshire knot' ...never won any prizes for best team name yet :D . Never come anywhere near winning the quizzes either...amazing how competitiive lots of the others are, with their special pens. (Thought that was for bingo.....). We just sit there giggling as we make up the answers we don't know ..

For names that we have no chance of knowing or guessing, we often use Peter R. Swipe.

A common question is to name the seven dwarfs - we had one missing once and put Stiffy - imagine our surprise when, upon checking, we discovered that Stuffy and Sniffy were rejected names...

A few years ago we entered a quiz at our local and a friend of ours who is a teacher kept getting heckled by another team. It just happened they were the parents of some of his pupils and they were objecting to him being on a team ... we kept getting remarks like "We have got no chance now they have Professor Plum on their team" What was worse we actually won .. :embarrass:
