Many thanks go to Wmrcomputers for the very silly and very splendid

For anyone curious, I used lengths of electrical conduit, a conduit bending spring to put the hook on them, simple red electrical insulation tape and strips of led lights running off a 12v adaptor. All in all cost me about £25 to make a set of 6 that stand almost a meter tall.
