Worst Pot Holes in Stafford.

That one has been there most of the time for the last three years - and I have seen new paint around it at least three times.
Yep, that pothole has been there for a few years & never been repaired to my knowledge. The only attention it's had that I'm aware is to recoat the paint border.
As for Stafford being worse than other areas I think many other parts of the county are getting as bad if not worse. Some of the roads around Stoke are pretty bad, although they do seem to get repaired quicker. It's a nationwide problem, I've seen loads of really big potholes on major, busy A roads around Liverpool for instance. It all comes down to using limited finances efficiently, I mean, do you spend the money on potholes or spend it on consultancy contracts for your mates/donors. No brainer really.

Price?

The same Jonathan Price who promised extensive tree planting only to plant none and oversee the destruction of loads?

More interested in the needs of his own publicity than in improving the lives of residents

Surely before planting a tree, there has to be hole for it to go in.

Well they are today filling holes (I guess) and sinking drains (that I could see) along Sandon Road near the exit to Hopton.
Near Asda its chaos as they have started work on Corporation St by the looks of it, an area to be avoided at least for this week ?

Found myself in Litchfield earlier - they win the pot hole competition for sure!

That’s why they’re leaving the potholes. It won’t take long for them to be deep enough to plant the trees without digging. Cost saving by the council.
I drove round by the station from Newport road to Chell road earlier for the first time in ages. Bloody hell, there’s some potholes ready for planting along there.

Yep, chaos coming into town on Weston road earlier. The lights are switched off at Riverway junction & replaced by 4way lights. Even worse for traffic heading out of town.
No right turn into Riverway coming from Town & right lane blocked off by filling station. Lots of traffic stuck in right lane trying to get back into left lane. Definitely best to avoid. (Note to self).

We're all doomed captain Mainwaring, doomed I say.

They were still working in the Sandon Road today (well all sitting in their vehicles anyway) and fresh paint was around "the pothole", so there is still hope ?

Still hope (I said) should have been no hope as it is still there, oh well maybe next year ?

New nomination St Thomas Lane, this lane for months had large deep potholes down its centre, okay they sometimes get filled in but I think with sand because within two weeks or less they are back again and guaranteed alloy wheel killers ☹️☹️

They aren't repaired correctly, just cheaply and shitly, like everything this council is involved in.
Many years ago I stopped a flat back truck carrying road working signs and equipment owned / drive by local travellers, inside the cab were numerous official invoices by the Council for them to carry out road repairs

This morning luckily managed to avoid a whacking big pot hole that's appeared (or got bigger ) since last time I drove along Lichfield Rd between Riverway and St. Leonards Ave.

The "trench" that was just prior to the roundabout alongside Beconside Surgery was sorted on Friday but only the bare minimum, nothing before or after as would be logical seeing as they had to setup stop go ?
The same logic that has seen the junction with Corporation St / Weston Rd having work done over the past month (or 2) with the hole outside the Esso garage being done & the sunken drain on the nearside before the lights sorted, but not the hole that we all drive around "at the the lights" heading south, or the other sunken drain in the middle of the road just back from the repaired one ?

To any up & coming people to the workforce it used to be that many industries had a 'job for life" tag that has now all but gone, not so working for the council especially on the pothole gang.
