Have you got your anorak on now? I forgot the Eagle and the Union, mind you, the Poly canteen on a Friday night was good enough for me.
I remember seeing Bob Marley and The Wailers at the Poly on a Friday night
Was that not in the main hall, rather than the canteen? Was it the same night as Wizzard?..

You're right it was the main hall...don't remember Wizzard though, most probably the copious amounts of Newcastle Brown.

They might have been in the canteen that same night, or maybe they weren't there at all..

I can usually plan my work a few weeks in advanced so buy first class and it then appears to be a reasonable second class fair when adding to an invoice

Reasonable in the sense that 60 quid is good value when it costs me 25 quid to park in Kings Cross, 35 quid in fuel and 8 quid in congestion charge with near to zero stress as first class is usually almost empty and the trains have run to time
