'History' often confuses the Stafford and Stoke venues, as it does with the two Bingley Halls.

This also says the May one was at Stafford and the November one was void.

My first 'knowledge' of any of this was from a friend who says he was there, at Safford, for the Wizzard/Wailers gig - and remembered the Wailers as "drums and whistles"...

All of this is subject to conjecture at this distance

So maybe 11/5/73 is sound… thanks for that!….and there’s such a lot of history. All those dates, all that travel and then their manager presents each band member with a bill for expenses rather than a cheque. No wonder they split.

Have a listen to the Burnin’ album… Rastaman Chant might kind of fit your pal’s description

Not sure what you mean there. Burnin’ is and was a great album and the sparseness of the production really reminds me of them live up at the Poly
Aha I think I get you Theresa…old as in ancient…for some devout believers guitars and keyboards and amplifiers are unnecessary and irrelevant?
