Who remembers the blue chip van that used to be outside The Grot about 2.00 am? Bostin' puddings and thick dark gravy, food fit for a king after a skinfull.
I remember hiring a tie off him when the Grot made you wear one, great pudding chips and gravy.

  1. Stafford Forum (Where else do I get to rant, rave and ask for advice apart from Facebook and Twitter?).
  2. Friendly neighbours (Who very kindly look after all my Amazon post and Assassin the cat).
  3. Very good selection of real ale pubs with friendly staff (Even Baz at the Greyhound).
  4. Good selection of places to eat (although I would like a Nando's/Yo Sushi/Wagamama to appear).
  5. Good links to Birmingham and Manchester.

Victoria Park, both sides of the road. On the one side you have the council making a real effort for the kids of the town, and helping bring people in from outside of the town. Then on the other you have a pretty lovely tranquil bit of space.

St Marys and St Chads. Two jewels, both beautiful places and both seriously overlooked. As an atheist I get nothing out of the spiritual side but do appreciate the internal beauty and the architecture.

The shouty man who lives opposite the pharmacy on Marston Road. He only shouts at young girls/women though, he shouted at my wife once, she was hungover, he hasnt shouted since.

The one after the red light rule, I dont know why other towns dont adopt this, if a light turns to red, in Stafford, one car is allowed to go through. Its genius.

The people, I am an interloper from Telford and I genuinely love my adopted town, the people are just better.
