Stafford Council tell Plumbits to take down signs after 20 years

proactive

Enjoying a drop of red.
Shame you have had to go through all this, but at least one good thing has come out of it. Local people will think twice before using the solicitors that reported you, and that will hit them where it hurts, in the wallet. Personally I'm taking every opportunity I get to mention their involvement in this.

Well I'm prepared to spill the beans on the firm of the solicitors as I found out through my line of work which one it is! Like they say its not what you know but who you know. I think it's totally wrong and petty the reason behind it. Well done Andy and the team for winning this unneeded battle.

Its a shame the people of stafford are having to pay for these solicitors getting there own back on the sbc,the man i spoke to at the suspect solicitors is a complete and utter bully, and does not like it when he dosent get his own way, even at the expense of one of his clients.

Surely now ex clients?

i think that goes without saying, and to be fair the last item they handled for me was handled badly, the business was moved to another local solicitor and handled well, the only time they responded quickly was when they chased me for there account which had already been paid, ineffeciency to the end

I am pleased to announce that I have received written confirmation from SBC that I can keep all my signs. I would just like to thank everybody for the overwhelming support I have received and kind messages. It has been quite staggering with the amount of people that have called into Plumbits offering their support and best wishes. Having been here for 29 years, I didn’t quite realise how much people thought of my little shop. I also think that the people of Stafford and far and wide are passionate about standing up for what is right and good old fashioned common sense.
All this was brought about by a local firm of solicitors who flaunted the law with SBC over their signage and were indeed prosecuted. This firm of solicitors obviously think they are above the law which is quite concerning considering the profession that they are in.
This firm of solicitors has actually acted for me on numerous occasions; I do find it quite inconceivable that they would turn on one of their own clients for their own gain. I did speak to one of the partners whom I had dealt with before; he explained that they had commissioned a firm/person to take photographs of various businesses within Stafford with regards to their signage in a way of getting back at SBC for prosecuting them. SBC are now inundated with carrying out the same process with other businesses like mine because this firm of solicitors knows full well that SBC would have to act on it.
This firm of solicitors by doing this has wasted many thousands of pounds of the Stafford rate payer’s money. With SBC struggling to provide services in the community this is money that has been totally wasted on a firm of solicitors’ folly to get their own back as they were prosecuted by SBC for their signage which they were warned about but decided to ignore.
This firm of solicitors is still flaunting the law of SBC and they know only too well that the council will waste even more money pursuing them and they will change their signs just before proceedings commence. As said on Central News by the lady who commented outside Plumbits, SBC have got better things to think about than somebody taking their sign down! The link is http://www.itv.com/news/central/upd...s-business-to-take-signs-down-after-20-years/
This firm of solicitors I feel are not fit to represent the people of Stafford as they show complete and utter contempt for their clients and the good people of Stafford.
Once again thank you everybody for all the support shown in the name of good old fashioned common sense.
Best wishes
Andy and the friendly staff at Plumbits.

Now. let's hope the people of Stafford have the common sense to avoid them like the plague, and hit them where it hurts, in their pockets.
