On a more serious, and more related, note...
I find that one 'large' egg is enough to properly do justice to only one and a half slices of bread. Given that you will want at least two slices, i find it best to use two eggs and have three slices even though three slices is probably a little more than truly necessary, working on the 'best to have too much than too little' principle.
Simple shallow frying, for as long as you would fry an egg for, possibly slightly less - turn them over a few times and go for golden.
Ketchup is, and i cannot stress this enough, obligatory.
