Mrs Trumpet has gone on to a veggy diet for a week and I've agreed to offer moral support by eating the same.
Some sort of chili three bean casserole last night. I believe it's some sort of meditteranean five bean casserole tonight.
Gale warnings in force in Eccy over the next few days. Might have to go for a curry on Thursday.

Home made curry and chips, nice, and some foul pizza that cost 50p, that I gave to the dog.
Now the cook has to stay in the same room as the dog, till he stops farting, as a punishment for buying it.

Last night was pork chops, done in the cast iron pan then topped with chilli jelly and grated cheese then bunged under the grill. I served that with fried sliced potatoes, roasted med veg and a tomato and paprika sauce. And a few bottles of cider, of course :D

that sounds gorgeousballs

i've got some jus-roll pastry to use up from the last time i made a pie, so tonight is going to be one of those "roll out your pastry, cover it in a tomatoey sauce & herbs, then bung on any old leftovers and stick it in the oven" affairs, with some nice new potatoes 'pon the side :D

got some chorizo to use up, as well as fresh basil and a couple of cheeses, so it should be some pretty tidy shiz :chef:

I had a Blue Dragon Lemongrass and Ginger sauce with rice, (pretend) chicken and peppers and I'm sorry to say it was horrible!
So so sweet! You could actually have it on icecream!
I has a Sweet Chili and Onion sauce from them a few weeks ago and that also was way to sweet to I figured maybe I'd try lemongrass (sour right?) but it was like a pudding!

Has anyone else had this? Just both I've tried have been so sweet their almost inedible.....

Strangely we had similar for tea, husband and son had macaroni cheese (with the addition of onion and chorizo) and garlic bread - daughter and I had the cheesy/chorizo sauce on mushrooms, scrummy but I'm VERY full!

Bolognaise tonight ... with pasta of some sort! What do people usually put in their bolognaise ... apart from mince and tomatoes - I have celery, spring onions, mushrooms!

Anything I have to hand! Bacon is a favourite, smoked and cut up fairly small. Onions of course, and sometimes I use a tin of ratatouille to give it a bit more veg.

How about using rosemary twigs to make skewers and adding the halloumi plus cherry tomatoes and pitted kalamatas.
Or just lightly oil and fry in a cast iron pan, then drizzle with olive oil and serve with pita bread and lemon wedges.
