Had my brand new car stolen from a hotel car park a few years ago. I had never sat in the back, used the wipers or opened the windows. It was brand spanking new. I had parked under the light on the car park, locked it up and booked in for the night. Just before I went to bed I thought I would wish my new car goodnight so looked through the curtains to see an empty space. Someone had managed to gain entry to our room while we were at the function and helped themselves to the keys and my purse. The purse contained one of my few photos of my baby daughter who we had lost just a few months earlier. Devastated. Hate thieves, swore I would return with a baseball bat and hold a stake out waiting for them to reappear. Husband advised against it. Police thought it was an inside job. . No ctv available that night. Still makes my blood boil. Hope they catch the Bawich thieves soon!
Other vehicles? How many do you need?
I had five at one point, plus the other half's car. We have three at present though, which seems much more sensible.Other vehicles? How many do you need?

That said, I'm really struggling to resist the temptation to buy another MX5 while they're so cheap.
We have one car at the moment. We got rid of our second car to save a bit of money while I was on maternity leave. It's old but it's ours and it's been well looked after. But then it doesn't matter if it's a Bentley or a heap of 1990s scrap metal, it's ours.
As someone has commented above, they might come back in a few months thinking we've become complacent again. I've a good mind to fill an old laptop bag with the biggest smelliest dog eggs I can find and leave them to find that.
Aye, I really enjoyed my mx5 for a bit of roof down, b road blasting, henrys cat offending good old fashioned fun.Buy buy buy. I have 3 including the missus's all taxed and insured however only drive one at a time. Including my MX5. Love it....

The problem I have now is that I have an old M3 and its more demanding of my wallet than even HMRC. Thus, justifying another toy is quite difficult.
They WILL come back. Its happened at least twice to the same vans around the stone. They must keep a mental note of where the vehicles theyve done were and strike again 6 months down the line. A bloke at my company lost thousands of pounds worth of tools, replaced them and had them nicked again. We were told it was gypsies as the tools get sold round the pubs by them. to be honest the police dont do anything about it, just give you a crime number and thats the end of it.We have one car at the moment.
