Nothing for me, the wife got a bit more gold, a battered old ring for 50p, that's about £20 in scrap. :lorks:
I did see a chicken pill gun thing for firing pills down chicken throats !

Well I only sold enough to cover my rent, but did in turn manage to get a repair booking for Monday so it tuned out worthwhile after all.

I bought a bike pump for £2 for our boys bikes from a stall opposite (quite a decent one), and missed out on a girls bike with stabilizers on the stall next to me... I never enquired as I was having a quiet day, so I was quite gutted when I heard him tell a lady it was £2. Of course, she snapped it up and even refused to accept a fiver for it)

I also had a catch up with @Gramaisc and @Ecker

Ecker had spotted a washing machine drum for my pool heater project which he kindly went back and got a price for me on. It was a smaller opening than I hoped for, but the chap is hopefully sorting me out with one from a launderette machine so it would be superb if that comes up trumps!

I got a working dishwasher for £3 from the car boot once, they even delivered it. Was a fiver originally but he reduced it as nobody was interested, the only thing wrong with it was the giant £5 and then £3 written across the door in permanent marker!

Some interesting stuff this morning, but not much for me. There were several reel-to-reel tape recorders, though.

I did get some spare rules for my Dargue Simplon.

And a handful of 6mm SDS drills.

And I spotted @Ecker in the distance.

I got a little camping stove, just one burner, nice for in the tent when we want a brew.
Missus got a nice looking silver ring for 50p, no gold though, she must be slipping.
I saw a bottle of rat and ferret shampoo and thought of TCRL. ;)

I'm hoping the car boot is on in the morning, my eldest had begged to be taken and has set her alarm for 6! I have no idea what parking arrangements there are or what time is a reasonable time to attend.

I suspect that you're back home by now, but sellers start arriving at *6am & those over eager collectors & dealers that swarm around the car also turn up at the same time......normal people probably dont start turning up till 7am ....

*when we 'do' a carboot we always aim to get there by about 6.30, but despite nearly living on the common we never make it before 7.30! If we just go to look we probably go sometime between 8am & 10am...

Arrived at 7.00 and left at 8.30, now eating scrambled egg on toast, quite a bit smaller than usual and not much for me, though I did get some heavy duty ring clamps for my vans leaking water pipes.

heavy duty ring clamps
Steady on...

..continence issues?

Bit damp and dismal, but I got some obscure plant pot saucers that will replace one as a bird bath that fits snugly in an old chimney pot - if I've got the right size.

And a couple of volumetric flasks.

There for 7.45. Was cold and wet. Daughter picked up a few bits for her bedroom. I came home with three strawberry plants, some local eggs and almost 2 punnets of strawberries from a lady selling cake. Unfortunately she was being told off for not having the right insurance to sell her cakes and I got fed up waiting so came home.
