Be an interesting marketing technique, start rumours on facebook then place your new shops where the hype is best. :strange:

They have now posted a photo claiming it is the inside of the new Nandos Stafford.

Can anyone else with access to see the photo say where it is???

Here we go:

That pic is from Gyllyngdune Gardens during their january restoration.

Ironically, it's a genuine Nando's plan, just not for Stafford!

And, like the others, I can't believe I didn't think of it earlier!!

I'm just a bit confused as that they why of the hoax, and what they were going to do on Friday, when it doesn't appear on the 'coming soon' section of Nando's...

Is it me but I'm not overly impressed with nandos. I'd rather have an independent food outlet that cooks fresh food.

I know nandos say their chicken is fresh every morning, I'm led to believe they cook it and put it in the steamer drawers underneath the counter until needed.

When the order comes in they whip it out the drawer and stick it on the griddle for a few minutes and give it the criss cross pattern before putting it on a plate.

What happens if they have a slow day I guess they throw it away

IMO Nando's is nice food, but very overpriced - for example it's £6.70 for a chicken wrap, without chips etc.

You're probably right about the cooking process because if it's quiet when you go in, they serve it to you within minutes. Last time, we ordered at the bar, then got our drinks and whatever else from that area where you choose from things they ought to offer to you at the table, and the food arrived at the same time as we sat back down again!

Been to the the Birmingham one opposite St Martins 4 or 5 times and the chicken has always been fresh on the griddle, but then again that's been on a Saturday lunchtime, things may be different on a slow day.
As a cheap n cheerful shopping lunch I reckon it's better than most, KFC, Maccy D's, Pizza Hut etc.

This is fantastic detective work! Congratulations to all involved; I'm genuinely impressed that you all got to the bottom of this and got a local hoaxer shut down. :D
