Setting as the thread is four years old and the OP hasn't been on here in nearly four years you are unlikely to get an answer, I would venture.I have only just noticed this previous information search. I was born at The Greyhound Pub . My grandmother was the licensee until her death in 1953. Next door was the funeral directors. The Emery Family have had a business at the premises for many years and are still in existence. The Emery family were and are a fine family. I knew the two sons who were contemporaries . Mrs Emery was sadly killed by a prison officer. I can well understand that the family feel very sensitive about the loss of their mother in such tragic circumstances. Why were you interested n this matter ?
