£175 to get married in the Register Office! It was £25 when I got married.
Indeed - have the loveliest of weddings both - @Goldilox and I had a registry office wedding (albeit in Liverpool) 10 years ago this year and we loved the simplicity and ability to get on to the important, party aspect of it all!
Best of luck to @Martin and @That-Crazy-Rat-Lady when you both get married - not to each other of course!! Unless you are....
Let us hope not - there would be a surcharge for that. But hey - I'm not marring the room am I?!
Jeez. It was £25 all in when I got married at the old Register Office. That's just for the signature in the book thingy - to hire the Boscobell room (or whatever it's called!) is £275 -
As we wanted more than 2 guests (were having 8!)
I personally think it's a rip off for a crappy glass room next to the friggin library in Scaffoldshire Place!
But hey - I'm not marring the room am I?!
(Plus I'm going on an EPIC 2 week honeymoon to Italy! Yippiee!)
You can still walk round there and have your photo taken. What date you getting married then?I wish the old registry office was still open - least you could have a nice picture outside the old building!
Surely, in this day and age, you could (both) just click OK on a website, possibly with a cooling-off period.Jeez. It was £25 all in when I got married at the old Register Office.
