We're getting married in the registry office in July!
FYI if you're booking from outside the county (registering at your local office that isn't in Staffordshire) then you have to specify the exact room you have booked - not just the office.
Knobjobs at the council tried to charge us twice as we didn't specify when booking - despite the fact that they failed to tell us or provide this info on any correspondence!
Anyway - I haven't even seen the room - hope it's nice!

That's just for the signature in the book thingy - to hire the Boscobell room (or whatever it's called!) is £275 -
As we wanted more than 2 guests (were having 8!)
I personally think it's a rip off for a crappy glass room next to the friggin library in Scaffoldshire Place!
But hey - I'm not marring the room am I?!
(Plus I'm going on an EPIC 2 week honeymoon to Italy! Yippiee!)

Indeed - have the loveliest of weddings both - @Goldilox and I had a registry office wedding (albeit in Liverpool) 10 years ago this year and we loved the simplicity and ability to get on to the important, party aspect of it all!
I wish the old registry office was still open - least you could have a nice picture outside the old building!

It would seem only reasonable to inform the Police with sufficient time for them to adjust the overtime rota accordingly.
