I have just called down for a coffee at Riverside Gallery in Mill Bank only to find they have closed down. Such a shame as it was a nice atmosphere for a drink at that end of town.

The gallery or just the cafe?I have just called down for a coffee at Riverside Gallery in Mill Bank only to find they have closed down. Such a shame as it was a nice atmosphere for a drink at that end of town.
The whole place is completely empty, coffee shop and pictures all gone.
Wow, I only walked past it the other day - although it doesn't surprise me, I'm not sure anyone ever brought anything from them.

Let us not overreact. You clearly missed the two 4ft signs in the 2 windows and the a4 maps on the door.
They haven't closed down they have moved near to dunelm as their lease term was up as was the rent.
Someone please settle an argument for me.....when Staffordians announce that they're 'going Spoons' - do they mean the Picture House or the Butlers Bell? Ta!The cafe was a great place to enjoy a reasonabley price coffee whilst watching the chavs knocking back 'cheeky vimtos' in the spoons beer garden.....

I believe that I remember them having a couple of locations in the Browning Street area.Yes, they were Peach Gallery way back when. They were in town in the 90's I think, but I can't remember where.
Thanks @Wormella - as we don't go 'out' much I'm now confused over where's where.....Spoons used to be in Stone, The Picture House was The Picture House & The Butlers Bell was Yatses Wine lodge...We've had this conversation a lot - they mean The Picture house, but it's always worth specifying.
Spoons is The Picture House and Butlers Bell is the Bell End.Someone please settle an argument for me.....when Staffordians announce that they're 'going Spoons' - do they mean the Picture House or the Butlers Bell? Ta!
