Leave or Remain?

Buy as big as you're going to need and ( the Government will ) cash in when you ( are incapable ) when the kids have left home, Because Mrs May is about to change the law on home ownership and care
Don't worry. In the spirit of Tony Benn, I shall be striving to minimize the amount of money I give back to the state. I may not have the money that he had, and so be unable to jump through the amount of hoops he jumped through to reduce his offspring's liability to inheritance tax, but I shall do my best.

You would have thought that the people behind the campaign to overturn the Leave result would have chosen someone less despised and discredited than Blair to put forward their case. Maybe they're trolling!

One has to suspect that he chose himself....

I personally aren't trying to overturn the results, but I doubt even those who are would choose Blair. The war in Iraq kickstarted most of the refugee problems, and certainly increased terrorist activity due to the number of foreigners whose lives were ruined by the invasion and the unrest that spread from it. The pfi deals on infrastructure crippled the public sector finances, his education policy forced many to get into debt for a degree that was massively cheapened by its abundancy just to lower unemployment levels. Nobody has sold us out so completely since thatcher.

Blair is a distraction

A bruised ego

History

Rising Up agin Brexit is completely valid however

Especially given that the majority of the British electorate did not vote to leave the European Union

I think Blair was sticking his oar in where he wasn't wanted, trying to make some sort of political comeback that he will never achieve. However Ihave half a feeling that when May comes back with the final deal she has been able to reach there will be a lot of Leave voters screaming that they want a vote on it.

Sorry but the views of those who had the chance to vote and couldn't be arsed are pretty irrelevant!

Despite losing I agree with this, voter apathy means always agreeing with the majority. And most people in large groups become arseholes.

I suspect your right. The thing is that the many of the leavers resolve has hardened. We want out whatever the cost! We haven't come this far to let us to be fobbed off with an half arsed compromise.

Your Conservatives won't have sorted this mess out in 10 years time

They are completely out of their depth

In 5 years time you will screaming to let in foreigners to make hospitals run again

Enjoying a drop of red.

Well yes, of course they are. Are you suggesting Comrade Jeremy (or anyone else for that matter) could step in and sort this all out?

Anyway...

Voting to leave was the wrong choice in my opinion but spending one's time hand-wringing, wishing it wasn't thus, fantasizing about overturning the result or hoping things go badly so we can say 'I told you so', isn't going to achieve anything.

We are where we are and it's time to get on with it. Press, politicians, arty-farty types and the rest of us need to get a grip and move on.
