Got knocked off the motorbike on the way home this evening by a lady who pulled out on me from Walton Lane as I rode along Sawpit Lane. She had seen me but was under the impression that 'motorbikes always give way to cars, don't they?'

Anyway, I briefly contemplated the possibility of beating her with my helmet until she stopped moving, but decided that as there was no physical damage to me, I'd leave it to my broker to sort it all out. Need a new helmet, leathers, fuel tank, headlight/handlebar assembly, front wheel and mudguard and custom paint respray, so it's going to cost her quite a bit.

Fortunately a neighbour was first on the scene and had the presence of mind to take loads of pics of the scene. So big thanks to him.

Good to hear you are still in one piece, insurance can be a bugger to sort out as I discovered last year. My broker spent first half an hour trying to persuade me to claim for whiplash injuries.

Enjoying a drop of red.
Bike was collected at 10.30 this morning, had call from my dealer in Chester at 1pm to say they'd assessed the damage, had it all agreed by the insurer and got the parts on order for Monday delivery. The paint job will take some time but I should have the bike back for a week tomorrow.

Got told off by a sort of posh bird in Sainsburys this morning, youngest and I were mucking about with a Darth Vader model thingy in the discount bit, opposite the mens clothes. Can't remember her exact words, but they were sumat like - "oi! Gerrof that toy, yr makin too much ruddy noise!" Or words to that effect :)
Was she the one that's covered in Velcro scars?
Maybe

That doesn't sound posh, are your sure she didn't say; would you mind awfully if you put the toy back on the shelf - its not for playing with until you have purchased it.

Just back from seeing the new Baywatch film. Soooo funny! Well myself and what sounded like the rest of the cinema did at least :haw::D Not one for the kids though, it's a fair bit ruder than the series lol

Whilst people here are absorbed by their own political theatre, the neighbours are effectively choosing a new leader tonight. It's a straight choice of two and neither of them seems particularly bonkers. The odds seem to be that the gay, half-Indian doctor will get the job.
