Got knocked off the motorbike on the way home this evening by a lady who pulled out on me from Walton Lane as I rode along Sawpit Lane. She had seen me but was under the impression that 'motorbikes always give way to cars, don't they?'

Anyway, I briefly contemplated the possibility of beating her with my helmet until she stopped moving, but decided that as there was no physical damage to me, I'd leave it to my broker to sort it all out. Need a new helmet, leathers, fuel tank, headlight/handlebar assembly, front wheel and mudguard and custom paint respray, so it's going to cost her quite a bit.

Fortunately a neighbour was first on the scene and had the presence of mind to take loads of pics of the scene. So big thanks to him.
Eck! Hope you're ok?

Glad you're OK. Nearly every brown trousers moment I've had on the bike was due to someone pulling out on me :(

That's sound awful proactive.

I'm off camping in the Lakes after work, amazed the weather forecast has held (famous last words).

I'm off work at the moment so let me know if you need a lift anywhere.

@proactive That's awful! Hope you are ok.

Just heard a loud, pained, exclamation from outside so looked. The dodgy woman from a couple of doors up was trying to limp up the street. I'm not one for suffering so I went out to see if I could help, ended up lending her a pair of crutches. With any luck she'll be able to manage now :)

Been busy mending the rusted sills on my van, I knew those old
metal computer cases would come in handy one day, mind you the
rust proofing stuff doesn't do t shirts a lot of good when you pour
it all over your chest, but on the plus side the solvent doesn't half
clear the sinuses. :D

Hopes that my ancient garden parasol would live another summer have been dashed as I got it out of the shed for the first time this year and opened it up. Loads of chewed up material and mouse droppings went flying everywhere. Sun now steaming through the one whacking big 6" square hole and 5 smaller ones...bloody mice

Got told off by a sort of posh bird in Sainsburys this morning, youngest and I were mucking about with a Darth Vader model thingy in the discount bit, opposite the mens clothes. Can't remember her exact words, but they were sumat like - "oi! Gerrof that toy, yr makin too much ruddy noise!" Or words to that effect :)

Was she the one that's covered in Velcro scars?
