We've had a day out in London today.

Got the train and arrived in London in time for lunch at a lovely Italian restaurant before going to the Savoy Theatre to see
"Dreamgirls"..

Fantastic show about a black girl group in the 60's. Great music, great outfits, great singing, great choreography.

First time that I've been to the theatre where there was a standing ovation just before the interval (for the song "And I am telling you, I'm not going".

Just loved it...I'd already seen the film and had wanted to see the show as soon as I knew that it was coming to the West End.
It was a lovely present from my hubby for my birthday.

Edited to say... loved the experience but glad that we were only in London for the day. Don't like the crowds...and I felt filthy when I got home, just wanted a hot shower. I'm definitely not a city girl.

Agree about a day being long enough. We have a couple of weekends a year down there a year. Great city, great vibe, but even Mrs T who is a London girl has now stopped wanting to move back 'home'.

don't mention the blinds
Also agree, we lived in SE6 for 20 years, and now do the occasional weekend 4 to 5 times a year. Usually end up saying to Mrs B , "How in hell's bathroom did we put up with this " !.....

Yesterday not so mundane or exceptional. After 15 and a half years my old dog said time to go. There is a weird space where his bed has been that will never be filled again.

I'm so so sorry for you. You must be devastated and so sad.
