I ♥ cryptic crosswords
“A man is painting a pub sign outside the Hand and Cleaver and the landlord comes out and says to him: ‘I’d like more space, please, between the ‘hand’ and ‘and’ and ‘and’ and ‘cleaver’’

Got a bargain in Millets. 50% off an item I had walked down already hoping to buy for hubbys birthday present  . Walked back home with a spring in my step :)

I'm having a minor breakdown. I've spent the last couple of hours trying to do a few bits of personal paperwork which involved emails, word documents and attachments. It's all gone a bit shit to be honest. I just don't understand why I can't do ANYTHING, the computer won't let me use Word, I can't copy and paste or even print! It just keeps popping up with this. I'm going to walk away from the computer before I cause it harm. Whilst I'm trying to regain composure feel free to drop me a message on wth is wrong with it!!
Tears and tantrums!

Money

Or turnitoffandturnitonagain

I refer to my DVD manual . It hasn't got anything inside the manual to fix a particular problem (caused by us pressing something wrong) but written and highlighted on the front cover is our own previously found out solution " SWITCH EVERYTHING ON AND OFF AGAIN" Works each time :D

Used to work on my Baxi-boiler when the hot water stopped working, but sadly it failed to fix it last night when I came to have a bath.:(

Kids will be back this afternoon, will see if they have a better idea!
I miss my son being here to sort out my phone and laptop for me. First thing I do when I go to visit him, is whip my phone out for him to un-do what I've accidentally done, and get rid of all the strange things that have suddenly appeared and I can't get rid of.

When the eldest lived here, I used shout out ''Precious!'', normally he'd ignore that, then it got a bit louder, ''Wot'' was the reply. Then I knew I had his attention.
''Oh Precious don't be like that'',
''What you broke NOW?!'' Then he'd come and fix whatever I'd done wrong. Now, I have the youngest, and it's like pulling teeth get him come help me with owt. I usually say the screens gone a funny colour and things are disappearing off it, then he'll move.

I'm always taking photos of my laptop screen and sending by whattsapp with "What does this message mean... What have I pressed wrong to get into this..What do I press to get out of this.... What do I do now...? " .

Was about to send him another one as all my emails weren't sending from the laptop. Don't have to now though as turning off and on again has just solved that problem :D

Hoping hubby doesn't decide to go fruit picking in his lunch break again today ! I'm not convinced that the bag full of funny looking 'plums' that arrived home last night are actually anything edible.:hmm:
As for the blackberries.. after trying to make a healthy (and seedless) blackberry milkshake , the kitchen now looks like a murder has taken place and not so healthy as I've added so much sugar to make it taste drinkable !

Tell hubby that you're not happy with his funny looking plums.

In Fairbourne today, blue sky and blazing sun. The bar/shop/arcade on the corner has had some work done and is looking much better, which is great as the town had seemed in decline last year. They even sell old rosie and Stowford press, and have extended the outdoor seating and included bike racks (why do so few places cater for cyclists?). The narrow gauge steam train just went past, life is good :)

If you're there for a while I would recommend a walk/cycle along the old railway line beside the Mawddach estuary. It's flat and has been tarmacced.

Also worth a visit up to Cregennen lake with views over the estuary towards Barmouth.

Enjoy.
